For nearly two decades, Alan Alderman has defied the odds by living with ALS. He has dedicated much of his life to raising awareness of ALS.
Along with four dedicated teammates, Alan successfully rowed 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge—dubbed the “World’s Toughest Row.” His team, known as “Row4ALS,” was:
1. One of only three teams from the United States to enter this year’s race,
2. The first team in history to register from the State of Utah, and
3. The first team in history that successfully met this challenge with a patient living with ALS.
