Summary This research paper highlights the potential Telehealth has to improve the efficiency of healthcare and reduce the burden of persons with ALS and their caregivers. Telehealth is cost effective and can be used for the remote collection of clinical and research data. Telehealth can reduce the burden of time and travel requirements, and provide an easier means of healthcare consultation for those of lower physical and respiratory function. Many barriers still exist with implementing telehealth, but technological advancement continue to improve those aspects.
