The Office of the Associate Director for Policy, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) held the public forum “Best Practices for Community Health Needs Assessment and Implementation Strategy Development:A Review of Scientific Methods, Current Practices, and Future Potential” from July 11–13, 2011, in Atlanta, Georgia.
The forum featured presentations by expert panels and opportunities for participants to ask questions and make comments, all of which were video recorded and published in a proceedings: Best Practices for Community Health Needs Assessment and Implementation Strategy Development: A Review of Scientific Methods, Current Practices, and Future Potential—Report of Proceedings from a Public Forum and Interviews of Experts.

Dr. Chesley Richards, in the Office of the Associate Director for Policy, CDC delivers the welcome address, followed by brief remarks from Chris Giosa, Advisor to the Commissioner of the Tax-Exempt and Government Entities Division, in the Internal Revenue Service, Treasury. John W. Bluford, President and CEO of Truman Medical Centers, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the American Hospital Association then delivers the keynote address.
