Departures
- CDC Rwanda bids a warm farewell to Philippe Mutwa; MD, PhD. Dr. Mutwa, an accomplished Opportunistic Infections Specialist, departed post in August 2016 after five years with CDC Rwanda. He was our Clinical Services Team Lead. Philippe now joins CDC in Senegal.
- CDC Rwanda bids a warm farewell to Nicole Mukunzi, MPH, who departed post in November 2016 after serving CDC Rwanda for a year. Nicole was our Prevention Specialist. Nicole now joins USAID Rwanda.
- CDC Rwanda bids a warm farewell to Pamela Gruduah, who departed post in December 2016 after serving at CDC Rwanda for three and a half years. Pamela was our Deputy Country Director for Management and Operations. Pamela now joins CDC in Atlanta.
- CDC Rwanda bids a warm farewell to Lindsay Little, MPH, who departed post in December 2016 after serving at CDC Rwanda for one and a half years. Lindsay was our ASPPH/CDC Strategic Information Fellow. Deputy Country Director for Management and Operations. Lindsay now joins USAID Rwanda.
- CDC Rwanda bids a warm farewell to Antoine Rwego, MD, MScIH, who departs post in February 2017 after serving CDC Rwanda for six years. Dr. Rwego was our Prevention Team Lead. Antoine now joins The Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

- CDC Rwanda bids a warm welcome to Janise Elaine Richards, PhD, MPH, MS, our new HMIS & SI Advisor as of June 2016. Janise is a Health Scientist and Epidemiologist who has been with CDC for 15 years.
- CDC Rwanda bids a warm welcome to Christina Mwangi, MMed, MBChB, our new Senior Laboratory Advisor as of June 2016. Christina has worked with CDC since 2005 and has over 20 years of experience.
- CDC Rwanda bids a warm welcome to Lisa A. Mills, MD, MSc, our new Deputy Director for Research and Science from September 2016. Dr. Mills is an Infectious Diseases and Clinical/Epidemiologic Research Specialist who has been with CDC since 2009. Her extensive experience includes public health work in Africa on issues including HIV/AIDS, TB, and other infectious diseases.
- CDC Rwanda bids a warm welcome to Richard Clive Nkunda Mwesigwa, our new Laboratory Team Lead from September 2016. Before joining CDC, Richard worked with the Rwanda National Reference Laboratory for 11 years.
- CDC Rwanda bids a warm welcome to CTS Contractor Arnold C. Wafula, MPH, PhD (candidate) as our new Communication Specialist as of October 2016. Arnold has over 15 years of experience in health communication, having worked with organizations such as BBC World Service Trust, Internews Europe, and UNICEF.
- CDC Rwanda bids a warm welcome to Jared Omolo, MD, our new HIV Epidemiologist who joined CDC Rwanda as a Title 42 Direct Hire in November 2016. Jared has worked with CDC for over 5 years.
