Field Epidemiology Training Programs in Africa

CDC has supported 19 Field Epidemiology Training Programs (FETPs) in Africa that have served 23 countries and graduated more than 800 residents.
In 2013 and 2014 CDC-supported African FETPs have responded to over 100 outbreaks, including:
- Lassa Fever in Nigeria
- Polio in Cameroon and Nigeria
- Monkeypox in The Democratic Republic of the Congo
