IN THIS ISSUE
Spotlight on Topic:
Ebola Preparedness in Rwanda
The 2018 Ebola outbreak in the Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo is the 10th and largest Ebola outbreak in DRC, and the second largest outbreak of Ebola ever recorded since the virus was discovered in 1976 in DRC. With the high volume of people traveling across the Rwanda-DRC border, there is an increased risk of Ebola spreading. CDC is committed to supporting the Rwandan Ministry of Health (MOH) to strengthen its capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to Ebola.
