Neglected Tropical Diseases Day
The impact of mass drug administration and progress towards elimination of lymphatic filariasis (LF), a debilitating neglected tropical disease (NTD), is measured by community surveys. CDC was instrumental in developing the World Health Organization’s (WHO’s) monitoring guidelines for LF elimination efforts and has been providing technical assistance around the world ever since.
