Our staff at CDC Zimbabwe works tirelessly to support the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) and implementing partners in all their work. For nearly 20 years, CDC and MoHCC have had fruitful collaboration in addressing threats to global health. CDC Zimbabwe works to strengthen health systems and to prevent and control diseases such as HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria.

Site Improvement with Zimbabwe Intensive Monitoring and Support
CDC Zimbabwe is using a newly developed system to monitor, supervise, and build capacity across sites delivering HIV services.

PrEP Success Story in Mazowe
Hope, a young woman introduced to sex work at 19, is able to remain HIV free in Mazowe, Zimbabwe with the help of a peer-to-peer model used to raise PrEP awareness and demand among high risk communities.

CDC Zimbabwe Support for Cholera and Typhoid Vaccine Coverage Surveys
CDC supported the preparation, coordination and implementation of vaccine coverage surveys after more than 1.5 million cholera and typhoid vaccine doses were administered around Harare, Zimbabwe.

President’s Malaria Initiative
CDC works in Zimbabwe to reduce malaria deaths and illnesses through the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative, with a long-term vision of a world free of malaria.
