Ebola Outbreak Updates
On June 19, 2021, the Guinea Ministry of Health and WHO declared the end of the Ebola outbreak in N’Zérékoré Prefecture. The declaration started a 90-day enhanced Ebola surveillance period to ensure that any new cases are quickly detected and responded to. In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the 90-day enhanced surveillance period that began on May 3rd when the Ebola outbreak was declared over continues.
