Success Years in the Making

Through the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), CDC is spearheading efforts to address the historical gaps in the provision of lifesaving TB Preventive Treatment (TPT) among those with increased risk of getting TB– particularly children and people living with HIV. A recent CDC analysis of PEPFAR data shows innovations in Uganda are dramatically increasing access to TB preventive treatment for people living with HIV.
