Featuring Preventive Medicine Grand Rounds
Featuring Preventive Medicine Grand Rounds
August 4, 2021 , 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM (ET)
Join August’s Preventive Medicine Grand Rounds and learn about the role the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) plays in Preventive Medicine.
How much do you really know about the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)? Have you ever thought about how much of our lives are spent at work and the influence work can have on our health? Have you ever thought about how worker health influences productivity? Safeguarding worker health is often an underappreciated aspect of Preventive Medicine.
This presentation will help Preventive Medicine learners understand the background and mission of NIOSH, key activities at NIOSH, and examples of how work at NIOSH helps protect the health of the nation’s workers.
These Grand Rounds presentations are provided as a courtesy of CDC’s Preventive Medicine Residency and Fellowship (PMR/F) program with the goal of sharing systems-based approaches and leadership practices to address population health issues and public health emergencies.
Continuing Education
Continuing education (CE) is available and there is no cost for this activity.
