CDC Building 24 Groundbreaking

CDC will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Infectious Diseases Research Support Building.

Media should arrive at the CDC Visitor’s Center by 1:00 p.m. Media must present photo ID for access. All visitors are required to be escorted by CDC staff.
Background
This fall, CDC is beginning construction on a new research support facility that will house about 1,100 CDC public health professionals. CDC anticipates completion of the new building in about two years, in the summer of 2011. The new research support facility is the final new facility scheduled for the Roybal campus under CDC's 2000–2009 Roybal campus master plan.
