What

Emergency Department visits for suspected opioid overdoses increased 30 percent from third quarter 2016 to third quarter 2017 in 16 states that have been hit hard by the opioid overdose epidemic. Opioid overdoses increased for both sexes, all age groups, and all regions, but varied by state, with rural/urban differences.
