Updates:

• There were a total of 77 ill people reported from 9 states, including 36 who were hospitalized.
• No deaths were reported.
• The last illness started on July 2, 2018.

• In general, CDC recommends that consumers, restaurants, and retailers choose and handle fruit safely to help prevent foodborne illnesses.
• Wash hands and food preparation surfaces before and after preparing fruit.
• Refrigerate pre-cut fruit at 40ºF or colder.
