Limb weakness and paralysis – The most common symptom of AFM

Some people may experience: 

  • Recent or current respiratory illness
  • Fever
  • Pain or numbness in the limb(s)
  • Gait difficulty
  • Headache
  • Back or neck pain
  • Difficulty talking or swallowing
  • Neck or facial weakness
