Amina Khan
Amina Khan joined WDPB as an associate service fellow with an emphasis on molecular epidemiology. Prior to becoming a fellow, she was a bioinformatics database manager at CDC, assisting with data management systems to track foodborne bacterial isolates. She also helped develop and implement tools for bioinformatics analysis of bacterial whole genome sequences. She has a BS in bioinformatics from the International Islamic University in Pakistan and an MS in bioinformatics from the COMSATS University Islamabad in Pakistan. During her fellowship, she hopes to link interdisciplinary aspects of disease and surveillance with information sciences. In her free time, Amina enjoys nature, walking, and cycling.
