The majority of the Registry participants had private insurance (n = 1,873, 59%), followed by public insurance (n = 1,126, 36%), with 1% covered by other insurance, and 4% uninsured (Figure 6). Private insurance includes commercial insurance and military insurance. Public insurance includes Medicaid, Medicare, state programs, and Indian Health Services.
