NIOSH at the 2016 Underground Stone Seminar logosThe NIOSH Mining Program will participating with the underground stone industry in the 21st Underground Stone Seminar. This seminar will be held at the Ramada Plaza Bluegrass Parkway in Louisville Kentucky on December 6-7, 2016.

According to the seminar organizers, it is "still the only national meeting primarily focused on underground stone mining" and it "will provide an update on issues and research relevant to the health and safety of underground stone miners. Regulatory developments will be included among the topics discussed, as well as their impact on the underground aggregates industry. "
