NIOSH Announces Call for Nominations for Safe-in-Sound Excellence in Hearing Loss Prevention Awards™

Nominations will be accepted for the 2020 Safe-in-Sound Excellence in Hearing Loss Prevention Award™ until July 15.
Safe-in-Sound Awards, given by NIOSH in partnership with the National Hearing Conservation Association and the Council on Accreditation of Hearing Conservationists, honor those that have contributed to the prevention of noise-induced hearing loss and tinnitus through effective practices or innovations directed to those who are exposed to noise at work.
Awards are granted in two categories:
- Excellence – recognizes employers that go out of their way to ensure safety of employees’ hearing by implementing exemplary hearing loss prevention, and
- Innovation – recognizes individuals or organizations for their dedication to fostering, creating and implementing new and unique evidence-based advances in the prevention of hearing loss and creating innovative solutions to real workplace hearing loss prevention challenges.
