How to Use This Toolkit

The Office of Public Health Genomics (OPHG), CDC developed this toolkit so that state public health departments, health care providers and payers, and anyone interested can quickly learn about Tier 1 applications, partnership building, and other action steps that can lead to saving lives. While this format seeks efficiency through brevity, many links to more detailed resources are provided through hyperlinked text. Because the toolkit is designed as a “living document” the information will be updated as the rapidly evolving field of public health genomics changes – including the addition of more Tier 1 applications when new evidence based recommendations or subsequent action steps are available.
