Conference News: Nearly 2.3 million cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis were diagnosed in the United States in 2017, according to preliminary data released today by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at the National STD Prevention Conference in Washington, D.C. Public health leaders, including individuals from the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), National Coalition of STD Directors (NCSD), the University of Alabama’s School of Medicine, and CDC – gather onsite to discuss the new findings and how to counter the country’s STD epidemic.
