Nevada Test Site

The Nevada Test Site, located near Las Vegas, Nevada, is a massive outdoor laboratory. Nuclear weapon testing was conducted at the site from 1945 to 1992. Since then, the site has been used for emergency response training, hazardous chemical spill testing, waste management and environmental technology studies.1
