Population Health Training in Place Program (PH-TIPP)
The Population Health Training in Place Program (PH-TIPP) is paused and not accepting applications at this time.
Please return to this page for updates. Physicians seeking certification in the specialty of Public Health and General Preventive Medicine should apply to the Mid-career 12-month Residency.
For questions about the PH-TIPP Program, please contact us directly at prevmed@cdc.gov.
Established in 2015, PH-TIPP is a professional development opportunity for full-time employees working in public, private, and academic organizations. Participants leverage their experience in program and grant administration to hone their focus on building skills in the CDC Preventive Medicine Residency and Fellowship Project Areas of program evaluation; policy analysis and development; and population health improvement. Participants add value to their organizations by learning to design, launch, and assess health improvement programs to positively impact health outcomes.
Physicians seeking certification in the specialty of Public Health and General Preventive Medicine will be considered for the Mid-career 12-month Residency track with the CDC Preventive Medicine Residency and Fellowship. These residents will generally follow the PH-TIPP curriculum.
