Title: Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQOL) Surveillance Summary Policy Brief
Student is asked to review and identify an HRQOL disparity in the CDC HRQOL Surveillance Summary document (contains national-level data), and write a policy brief using scientific literature to support any recommendations. Students at an intermediate-level should also consider evaluation and budget issues.
Activities
Student learns to read and understand scientific literature, identify disparities and propose policy solutions, and develop an evaluation plan and budget.

Title: State and Community Health Profiles Health Disparity Policy Brief
Student is asked to review and identify an HRQOL disparity in the CDC HRQOL Surveillance Summary document (contains state or community-level data) and write a policy brief using scientific literature to support any recommendations. Students at an intermediate-level should also consider evaluation and budget issues. This is identical to assignment 1, except this assignment requires use of state- or community-level data instead of national data. Suggested sources of such state and community data are provided.
